Main responsibilities

  • To assist the Community Development worker to support unemployed adults to develop job-related skills
  • Provide administrative support to the Community Development Worker, keeping clear, concise data recording.
  • Assist with the organising and hosting of drop-in sessions and group activities to provide information and confidence building opportunities.
  • Assist with completion of all necessary monitoring, assessment, action planning and review processes as required.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive and current records for all those assisted. This will include progression towards outcomes and post provision tracking.
  • Work alongside other relevant agencies and attend multi-agency meetings as required.
  • Work closely with the Community Outreach Worker and Community Development Worker to build strong working relationships and ensure the needs of the community are being met.
  • Assist with the organising, promoting and advertising of courses /activities/ events across the charity.
  • Deal with telephone, email and general enquiries
  • Actively promote and maintain positive working relationships with all charity staff and its customers, users and volunteers.
  • Liaise with external organisations, office users and user groups to maintain a safe and positive working environment.
  • Support and assist, as appropriate, the charity’s volunteers.
  • Attend training and staff development as directed.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be determined from time to time by the organisation.
